The Servlet contains some useful information to prepare and execute the import of Word Documents:
The "Important" Section will help you how to scale down pictures in the document. The Word Importer has some problems with big images.
The "Introduction" Section will help you to choose the correct settings to excute the word document import.
-> Choose Document: Please choose a word document you want to import.
-> Work Item Type: Work Item type which should be used (should be the same like the "type" parameter in mapping file)
-> H1[type:requirement]=Heading 1
-> in this case you should select "Requirement" from the Drop-Down-Menu
-> The Mapping File "mapping-file-...-requirement.map" is used in this case
-> Language: Naming of styles in word document:
-> mapping-file-german-workitemtype.map is used if you choose "German" where workitemtype stands for choosen Work Item Type.
-> mapping-file-english-workitemtype.map is used if you choose "English" where workitemtype stands for choosen Work Item Type.
Example:
Your word document contains a heading with style "Heading 1" then you should use language "English". So when you select the Work Item Type "Requirement" from
the Drop-Down-Menu the mapping file "mapping-file-english-requrirment.map" will be used.
++Adapt to your Polarion Settings++
==================================
You can easily add your Work Item types by creating a new mapping file which match following format:
mapping-file-language-workitemtype
-> language: german or english depending on using styles in your word document
-> workitemtype: Work Item Type for the imported work items. Please check for correct settings in the mapping file (H1[type:requirement]=Heading 1).
