Detailed Description

This little Wiki page allows you to browse any revision of your project.

Features include

  • display of old revisions of workitems
  • query to filter what work items should be displayed
  • direct link to historic revision
  • highlighting of items which have been changed in the meantime (with link to latest revision)
  • pdf export
  • List of added items (which fulfill provided query)
  • List of changed items (which fulfill provided query)

Important

The script is pretty heavy stuff for the server as it executes a query first and then iterates through all revisions of each found item.

  • Please make sure that you have a powerful server with enough memory for the polarion java process (>1GB)
  • make sure to specify a query which reduces the result set.

Some example calculation: If your project has 5000 items, with 10kb each, with 15 revisions each:

10kb x 5000 x 20 = 1gb

How to Install

Install wiki scripting tools available under: http://extensions.polarion.com/polarion/extensions/extension.jsp?extension=PE-174

1) create a new wiki page with name: BrowseBaseline in your project
2) copy content of browseBaseline.txt into the created wiki page
3) save the page

Extension Requirements
Polarion ALM 2010, Polarion Requirements 2010
Support
This extension is provided "as is" in the hope that it will prove beneficial for some Polarion users. It is not certified or supported by Polarion Software.
What do you think?
Hi Timothy, please note that the Wiki Scripting Tools extension is required (http://extensions.polarion.com/polarion/extensions/extension.jsp?extension=PE-174), otherwise the variable $mathTool is not significant. Thanks.

Hi Guiseppe, thanks for the note - I have changed the description and readme.txt with link to wiki scripting tools. Best Wishes Tim

Looks great - thanks! How about deleted items? Does this provide a list of them or any other support for seeing them? (Sometimes it is practical to completely wipe out unused items via Subversion).

Unfortunately not - So items which have been deleted via SVN will not be visible. I recommend anyway not to delete items but to close them and mark them as invalid. Only delete items if you WILL NEVER NEED THEM again e.g. you played with demo data and you want to clean up the demo data. Best Wishes Tim
